The final section game between Grant and Australia had a scoreline that certainly was one-sided at 21-6. However not only did the Aussie player play “lights out” bowls always keeping the pressure on Grant, but the Canadian was also very unlucky several times during the match. At one point Grant threw a drive to take out the Australian counter and he hit it almost square on the nose, but instead of going ou…t of the head it just spun around and ended up in almost the same place. “One of those games” says Grant. “Sean schooled me on how to play bowls. He never missed it. Grant finishes the singles event at 3-4 good for 5th.  On to the mixed pairs with game two tomorrow.
