As a member organization of Bowls Canada, Bowls Sask is responsible for governing the sport of lawn bowls in Saskatchewan.

Initially, there were two governing organizations, Saskatchewan Lawn Bowling Association and the Saskatchewan Ladies Lawn Bowling Association. These two organizations amalgamated in 1991 to form Bowls Saskatchewan.

There are five outdoor lawn bowling clubs in Saskatchewan and 4 shortmat clubs that operate indoors during the winter.

Our sport is one for all ages and skill levels – recreational to competitive. Although we have a relatively small membership compared to some provinces, Team Saskatchewan has been continually represented well over the years at both a National and International level.

In 2018, Bowls Saskatchewan created a five-year strategic plan to ensure we continue to improve and maintain the future of lawn bowls in Saskatchewan.
