Update on the proposed closure of Leslie Bowling Greens

Update on the proposed closure of Leslie Bowling Greens.   The Regina Lawn Bowling Club made a presentation to City Council on Monday evening, April 10th outlining why the Greens should stay open  There was great support from the Lawn Bowling Community:  54 supporters attended, many petitions were delivered to the Mayor and City Council.  The Mayor stated at the meeting, the City has not made a decision to close the Greens and was complementary that the club’s presentation included working on a win/win situation for both the City and the Club.  Next step is the Club will meet with city officials to negotiate a resolution.  The club is hopeful and optimistic the Greens will not close! Thanks to everyone for their support and thanks to the Regina Lawn Bowling Club’s Board for all their work!

Bowls Sask would like to thank David Calam of SK for taking on the role of president of BCB for the last two years. It is so good to be in a province where everyone cares so much about this sport! All the best in your new ventures David!
