Men’s & Women’s Senior Triples Provincial Championship
August 22 - August 24
NEW Shared Team of 4 Athletes Now Permitted for Men’s & Women’s Senior Triples
The Bowls Sask Board has become aware of some players who cannot play all games or the entire day or weekend at the Men’s & Women’s Senior Triples Provincial Championships on August 22-24 in Moose Jaw due to their age or abilities but whom have interest in attending. A suggestion was posed to have option to enter a team of four with any three athletes from that team playing each entire game. The hope is to increase the number of athletes attending and to expand the interest in this championship.
After consideration, Bowls Sask will permit the following for the 2025 Men’s & Women’s Senior Triples Provincial Championships on a one-year trial basis;
Shared Triples (being Shared Team #1 with players A, B, C & D):
- Each game Shared Team #1 would decide which of the three players would play (A,B,C or A,C,D or B,C,D and so on) and those three players would be the players for that entire game (no substituting in the fourth player). This continues from game to game.
In addition, the following stipulations are required for all Shared Teams ;
- Entry Fees owing for Shared Teams are $22.50/person. This ensures that Bowls Sask continues to collect $90 from each Shared Triples Team being the same from the other Triples Teams. Payment for entry fees is to come as one payment of $90 for each team via e-transfer to [email protected]
- Should a Shared Team win gold, silver or bronze the team will receive three bars or three pins to distribute as they wish. Should this continue in future years, the Board will revisit this to consider providing the additional bar or pin.
Important: When submitting entry for the Senior Triples Provincial Championship, all Shared Teams will be those who provide four names at entry. All Triples Teams of three and Shared Teams of four will be competing in the same championship – offering separate male and female divisions.
Contact the Bowls Sask office if you have any questions.
