Grassroots Tournament

18 July 2025 - 20 July 2025

2025 GRASSROOTS TOURNAMENT Poster

The Grassroots Tournament is scheduled for July 19th & 20th in North Battleford. Currently there are 12 participating athletes. The first game each day will start at 10:30 am with the second and third games each day to be at 12:30 & 2:30. Times may be altered during the tournament as needed and with agreement of all participants. Athletes are welcome to arrive any time after 9:30 am to practice before the tournament starts.

Pairs Teams (to play Saturday) and the Triples Teams (to play Sunday) will be made up from the final list of participants for the Grassroots Tournament by the draw master on Friday evening as she may add other athletes to round out the numbers.

If you know of anyone else wanting to participate please contact the Bowls Sask office at [email protected] to get registered. It is important to mention that there is no limit to the number of years someone has bowled or even if they are competitive, as the teams are comprised of experienced athletes put with less experienced athletes (chosen by the draw master) so as to focus on ‘FUN’ with good competition and personal development amongst each other.

As noted on the Poster;

  • All participants will receive lunch and refreshments each day provided by the North Battleford Lawn Bowling Club and funded by Bowls Sask. If anyone has specific dietary needs, please let us know.
  • A travel allowance is provided to those who car pool. Those driving should contact the office to obtain an expense claim to complete and submit after the tournament .

Medals are awarded for gold, silver and bronze winners. These are being made as we speak however, should they not be ready in time, they will be presented to the winners as soon as possible thereafter.

We encourage you to read the Conditions of Play also before attending which can be found at https://bowlssask.ca/isl/uploads/2025/05/Sport-for-All-Policies-Procedures-Revised-April-29-2025.pdf  and go to J.5. on page 22 .

Safe travels and Have a Great Weekend everyone.
