Effective June 20, 2021, the restrictions on group sizes will be lifted.

To assist clubs to resume play, Bowls Canada has released two phases of its Return to Play guidelines. Bowls Saskatchewan has adopted these guidelines for use by clubs in the province.

Each club should create its own Return to Play (RTP) plan based on these guidelines, to submit to their respective municipality for approval. Use of waiver forms and declaration of compliance forms are essential for players to sign due to the pandemic not being covered by Bowls Saskatchewan’s liability insurance. Daily health forms are also required every time a player plays at their club.

For RTP guidelines, templates for forms, posters, and other helpful information, go to the Bowls Canada COVID Updates page.

Bowls Canada will be holding a townhall session with legal and insurance experts on July 13, 2020. Contact the Bowls Sask office at [email protected] for further information.

Due to the pandemic, Federal emergency funding has been provided for culture, sports and recreation organizations. Sask Sport is currently in the process of determining the process on how this will be allocated to sports organizations in Saskatchewan. Once known, Bowls Saskatchewan will inform clubs of the application process.

Thanks to Bowls Canada Boulingrin for taking the time to put together Return to Play Protocols for indoor play. If indoor play is appropriate for your club’s situations please email bowlsasktel.net to receive a copy.
