Bowls Canada & Bowls Sask to Host Men’s & Women’s Indoor Singles

Bowls Saskatchewan has recently become aware that BCB plans to proceed with hosting of a Men’s & Women’s Indoor Singles Qualifier that is expected to be hosted in Vancouver, BC from October 21-25, 2025 (BCB is currently awaiting signing of host agreement to confirm these specific details).  Note this is a qualifier and not a national championship however the provinces must have a selection to choose the reps they want to send. Each province can send one athlete in each Men’s and Women’s Indoor Singles. Saskatchewan is first in the roll down should there be opportunity to send any additional athletes in each category.

In response to this news, the Bowls Sask Board contacted both the Nutana LBC and the Mayfair LBC club asking if either or both would be willing to host an Indoor Provincial Championship. Nutana could not make a qualifier work within their club calendar; however, Mayfair has agreed to host. The Board also made decisions regarding funding of the two Saskatchewan gold medalists.

In summary, Bowls Saskatchewan is happy to inform you of the following;

2025 Men’s & Women’s Indoor Singles Provincial Championship

August 15-17, 2025

Mayfair Lawn Bowling Club

  • $1000 of funding support will be provided to each of the gold medalists with the understanding that each also pays the $400 self help fee. Additionally, if Saskatchewan is provided opportunity to send additional athletes in either men’s or women’s, those athletes would be responsible for their entire costs and not provided funding (in keeping with the current Bowls Sask procedures). Entry procedures are the same as all provincial championships as outlined on the logistic page attached. Conditions of Play for Indoor Singles Provincials are expected to be the same as for Outdoor Singles Provincials however we are awaiting final confirmation from BCB.

The calendar of Events & Logistics pages on the website have been updated to reflect the addition of both the Indoor Singles Provincial and Canadian Championships.
